Brustkrebs während der Schwangerschaft – was Hebammen wissen und beachten sollten

Brustkrebs in der Schwangerschaft ist nicht selten. Deutschlandweit erkrankt 1 von 8 Frauen im Laufe ihres Lebens an Brustkrebs. Selbst wenn Brustkrebs eine altersabhängige Erkrankung ist, betrifft dies auch Frauen im jungen (und damit gebärfähigen) Alter. Dabei hat Brustkrebs im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Krebserkrankungen eine verhältnismäßig gute Prognose: Die 5-Jahres-Überlebensrate liegt bei knapp 90 Prozent, d.h. etwa 9 von 10 Frauen überleben die ersten 5 Jahre nach Brustkrebsdiagnose. Und damit genau jene 5 Jahre, in denen das Rückfallrisiko am höchsten ist.
