Zur Rolle von Bakteriozinen der Laktobazillen bei der Regulierung der Vaginalflora

Laktobazillen spielen bekanntlich eine zentrale Rolle beim Schutz der Vagina vor Infektionen. Dieser Effekt beruht auf mehreren Wirkmechanismen. Die Rolle der Bakteriozine dabei ist noch wenig bekannt und erforscht. Man kann davon ausgehen, dass diese bakteriellen Oligopeptide regelmäßig gebildet werden und auch in Synergie mit anderen Abwehrmaßnahmen gegen pathogene Erreger wirken. Das gesamte Ausmaß ihrer Beteiligung an der Homöostase der Vaginalflora ist noch nicht klar abzusehen.
