Lauriane Mesureur et al. Safety and efficacy of salvage endoscopic submucosal dissection for Barrett’s neoplasia recurrence after radiofrequency ablation

Among the 56 included patients, the en-bloc resection rate was 89%, R0 resection rate 66%, and salvage ESD was considered curative in 59%. Combined with further treatment, neoplasia remission rate reached 70%. With a complication rate lower than 15%, consisting mainly of stricture, salvage ESD allows effective and safe treatment for recurrent Barrett’s neoplasia after RFA in selected cases.
