Introduction

Pulmonary artery sling is a rare congenital anomaly resulting from an anomalous origin of the left pulmonary artery from the right pulmonary artery. It courses posteriorly over the right main bronchus near its origin from the trachea, passes between the trachea and esophagus, and enters the left hilum [Procacci C et al. Cardiovascular and interventional radiology 1993; 16,6: 388–391]. In conclusion, thoracic CT angiography is essential in diagnosis because it allows the evaluation of the airways and the pulmonary arteries.
