Wege zum sicheren Atemweg im Wandel: die S1-Leitlinie zum Atemwegsmanagement

Mit der Veröffentlichung der aktualisierten S1-Leitlinie zum Atemwegsmanagement im Jahr 2023 hat die Deutsche Gesellschaft für Anästhesiologie und Intensivmedizin (DGAI) einen Meilenstein gesetzt, der die Fortschritte beim Atemwegsmanagement evidenzbasiert zusammenfasst und klare Handlungsempfehlungen formuliert. Diese Überarbeitung ist nicht nur ein theoretisches Update, sondern auch ein praktischer Wegweiser für den klinischen Alltag.

Abstract

Airway management is a core competency in anesthesiology that has significantly evolved in recent years, primarily due to technological innovations. The 2023 update of the S1 guideline on airway management, published by the German Society for Anesthesiology and Intensive Care Medicine (DGAI), offers evidence-based insights into these advancements and provides clear recommendations for clinical practice. More than a theoretical update, the guideline serves as a practical resource for bedside care, addressing a broad spectrum of innovations and clarifications while leaving few questions unanswered. This review article summarizes the key updates and their practical implementation.

• Die S1-Leitlinie „Atemwegsmanagement 2023“ markiert einen bedeutenden Schritt in Richtung einer sichereren und effizienteren Atemwegssicherung.

• Von der Videolaryngoskopie über die neuromuskuläre Blockade bis zur Koniotomie – die Neuerungen sind darauf ausgelegt, bewährte Verfahren zu optimieren und Patienten besser zu schützen.

• Die moderne Anästhesie entwickelt sich stetig weiter. Mit fundiertem Training und einer klaren Notfallstrategie können Anästhesisten und Notfallteams diese Veränderungen erfolgreich in die Praxis umsetzen und damit die Patientensicherheit nachhaltig verbessern.

• Die wichtigsten klinischen Aspekte, einschließlich der unveränderten Empfehlungen aus den vergangenen Jahren sind in [Tab. 5] zusammengefasst.
