Viele Patient*innen haben strukturelle Erklärungsmodelle für ihre Schmerzen und Einschränkungen. Folglich passen sie ihr Verhalten an diese negativen Vorstellungen an und verstärken somit ihre Beschwerden. Umgekehrt kann es genauso fatal sein, biologische Faktoren zu übersehen. Anhand von zwei Fallbeispielen zeigt Klaus Orthmayr, wie er mittels kognitiver funktioneller Therapie CFT Einblicke in strukturelle, funktionelle und kognitive Schmerztreiber erhält.
