Reizdarmsyndrom und Phytotherapie: leitlinienkonforme Behandlung im Überblick

Summary
Das Reizdarmsyndrom (RDS) ist eine häufige funktionelle Darmstörung mit vielfältigen Symptomen wie Bauchschmerzen, Blähungen und Stuhlveränderungen. Phytotherapeutika stellen eine sinnvolle Ergänzung in der RDS-Therapie dar. Auch die aktuelle S3-Leitlinie empfiehlt Phytotherapeutika zur Behandlung des RDS, vor allem lösliche Ballaststoffe wie Flohsamenschalen oder Pfefferminz- und Kümmelöl. Trotz vielversprechender Ergebnisse sind weitere qualitativ hochwertige Studien erforderlich, um die Evidenzbasis zu stärken und die Standardisierung der Präparate zu verbessern.
