Abstract

Placement of central venous access devices by radiologists has been proven to be safe and effective. Although rare, certain potential complications are recognized during or after placement of central venous catheters. This article reviews the most common complications related to placement of central venous catheters and outlines possible interventions used in the management of such complications.
