FeCl₃·6H₂O as a Versatile Catalyst for the Esterification of Steroid Alcohols with Fatty Acids

Abstract

FeCl₃˙6H₂O is an active catalyst for the esterification of some steroid alcohols with fatty acids under azeotropic reflux in mesitylene as solvent.
