Paro–Endo–Läsionen – Grundlagen und Therapieformen

Nicht nur aus anatomischer, sondern auch aus mikrobiologischer Sicht ist ein Austausch von Pathologien zwischen dem Parodontium und dem Endodontium vorstellbar. Insbesondere ist bei Paro–Endo–Läsionen die Diagnose des Ursprungs der Erkrankung von entscheidender Bedeutung, um eine korrekte und erfolgreiche Therapie einleiten zu können.

Both endodontic and periodontal diseases are primarily caused by a mixed anaerobic infection. Furthermore possible pathways for the spread of bacteria between pulpal and periodontal tissues exist. In particular a precise diagnosis of the origin of a perio–endo–lesion is decisive for a successful treatment.
