Abstract
The effects of adrenalectomy on the calcium fractions in the rat were investigated with a calcium electrode. It was observed that adrenalectomy produced an increase in ionized as well as total calcium in plasma and the results are discussed in the light of other reports on the effects of adrenal corticoids on calcium homeostasis.
