Abstract
Trans–5–hydroxypipecolic acid has been identified by NMR of 13C in the leaves of Xylia xylocarpa. This iminoacid is a powerful inhibitor of platelet aggregation induced by serotonin and thus, it is probably involved in the biological effects of the plant extracts.
