The major constituents were identified as the acridone alkaloid evoxanthine and its putative precursor tecleanone. In addition small amounts of 1,3–dime–thoxy–N–methylacridone and the furoquinolines halfordinine and kokusaginine were isolated and identified on the basis of physical and spectral analysis. The pentacyclic triterpene lupeol was also found to occur in significant amounts.
