Abstract

The isolation of two new valepotriates from Centranthus ruber (L.) DC is reported. Structure III is ascribed to the new compound named desisovaleryl acetyl valtrate (DIA–valtrate). Partial structure IV is ascribed to the second valepotriate–homoacevaltrate on the ground of its UV, IR, NMR and MS spectra.
