Abstract

Chemical examination of the stem bark, root bark and leaves of Gymnosporia montana Roth afforded 3–O–acetyloleanolic acid, tingenone, hexacosane, hexacosanol, betulin, β–amyrin and β–sitosterol. The twigs of Euonymus pendulus „Wall on chemical investigation gave isohexacosane, cerotic acid, friedelin, epifnedelinol, β–sitosterol and dulcitol.
