Abstract
Both free and sugar bound monoterpenoid and phenylpropanoid substances were found in morphological undifferenciated callus and cell-suspension cultures of Ocimum basilicum. Because of the almost higher content of the sugar bound ones, they seem to be the preferred accumulationform in undifferenciated cultures.
