Abstract
Eight alkaloids were isolated from the roots of Rauwolfia cumminsii Stapf. Reserpine, rescinnamine and serpentine have been previously reported but aricine, ajmalicine, yohimbine, α-yohimbine and 19–epi-serpentine have not previously been isolated from this species. No dihydroindole alkaloids of the ajmaline series were detected.
