Abstract

From the genus Chamaecytisus (Leguminosae), spread in Bulgaria, nine species have been investigated. Two of them are poor of alkaloids. The other seven could be devided into two groups. The first one with l-sparteine as the main alkaloid, the second one with d-lupanine. In the first group there were also isolated l–17–oxosparteine, d-lupanine and a new alkaloid, designated as C2 with the formula C12H20O N2. In the second group of plants there we could isolât besides d-lupanine and l-sparteine another new alkaloid, designated as C1 with the formula C15H24O2N2, probably a hydroxylupanine.
