Abstract

Cnicin chemical structure – biological activity (antibiotic and cytotoxic) relationship study is undertaken by comparative tests performed with the hydrolysis products of this sesquiterpene lactone.

Cnicin does not seem to be able to form an intercalating complex with DNA.
