Abstract
Piper species have been worked out quite extensively [1]. Apart from piperine and piperetine [2], some piperidine amides like piperylin, piperolein A and piperolein B have been recently reported [3]. In present communication we are reporting the presence of N–isobutyl eicosa-trans 2–trans 4–dienamide from Piper nigrum L. for the first time.
