Abstract

The histology of the aerial parts of A. molle L. and A. mollissimum (Pau,) Rothm. is described and confirms the findings of Rothmaler (1956). Comparison of the characters of the two species shows them to be identical and to be distinct from A. hispanicum Chav., thus supporting the view that they be classified as a single species.
