Abstract

The berba of Verbascum lasianthum Boiss. yielded two hydrocarbons, two hydrocarbon ketones, a hydrocarbon alcohol, β-sitosterol, a trihydroxy steroidal alcohol and a triterpenic alcohol. By using UV, IR spectral methods and analytical calculations as well as standard sample comparison, some of them were found to be n-octacosan, n-hexacosan C₂₀ and C₂₅ ketones, tetratriacontanol and β-sitosterol.
