CHEMISCHE KONSTITUTION UND ANTIFUNGALE WIRKUNG VON 1,4–NAPHTHOCHINONEN, DEREN BIOSYNTHETISCHER ZWISCHENPRODUKTE UND CHEMISCH VERWANDTER STOFFE

Abstract

A correlation between chemical constitution of the tested compounds and their antifungal activity was detected on 11 fungi. 13 of 14 tested compounds were active against fungi. Only shikimic acid had no antifungal properties. The biosynthetic intermediary products naphthohydroquinone and naphthoquinone and the final products of metabolism, lawsone, juglone and ramentaceone were the most active substances. Naphthohydroquinone was more active than naphthoquinone. Lawsone showed greatest antifungal properties and seems to be an active fungicide like the halogenated dichlone.

Zusammenfassung

Ein Zusammenhang zwischen chemischer Konstitution der Testsubstanzen und ihrer fungitoxischen Wirkung konnte nachgewiesen werden. 13 der 14 untersuchten Verbindungen aus der Gruppe der 1,4–Naphthochinone waren fungitoxisch. Shikimisäure besaß keinerlei antifungale Eigenschaften. Die biosynthetischen Zwischenprodukte Naphthohydrochinon und Naphthochinon sowie die Sekundärstoffe Lawson, Juglon und Ramentaceon sind die wirksamsten Substanzen. Wider Erwarten wirkte Naphthohydrochinon auf die Testorganismen toxischer als Naphthochinon. Lawson zeigte mit Abstand die größte Aktivität und ist ein mit Dichlone gleich zu setzendes Fungizid.
