Abstract

A new simple method for isolation of plumierid from the different organs of Plumeria rubra L. and Plumeria rubra L. var. alba was applied and proved to give good and pure yields. A simple colorimetric method for estimation of plumierid was carried out. It was found that the stem bark contains the highest percentage, mean while, the organs of Plumeria rubra L. contain a higher percentage than those of Plumeria rubra L. var. alba.
