Summary

In 0.8–3.4% of all gastric carcinomas multi-centric carcinoma is found, however early multi-centric carcinoma is probably much more frequent. A higher frequency can also be seen in cases of precancerous lesions like polyposis or pernicious anemia. For appropriate therapy exact endoscopic diagnosis is extremely important.
