Summary

A new endoscopic method for the study of the exocrine pancreatic secretion in man is described. Using a side-viewing duodenoscope (Olympus JF B 2) the main pancreatic duct was cannulated with a teflon catheter. Prior to the examination, another similar catheter was attached to the outside of the duodenoscope for instillation of stimulating agents into the duodenum. The method allows the study of pure pancreatic juice after intraduodenal stimulation. Simultaneously the release of gastrointestinal hormones may be studied.

Zusammenfassung

Es wird über ein neues endoskopisches Verfahren der Pankreasfunktionsanalyse beim Menschen berichtet. Unter Verwendung eines Seitblickduodenoskops (Olympus JF-B 2) wird der Ductus Wirsungianus mit einem Teflonkatheter kanüliert. Zuvor wird ein ähnlicher Katheter zur Instillation von sekretionsstimulierenden Substanzen an der Außenseite des Endoskops befestigt. Das Verfahren gestattet die Gewinnung reinen Pankreas-sekrets nach intraduodenaler Stimulation. Simultan kann die endogene Freisetzung gastrointestinaler Hormone untersucht werden.
