Peroral Small — Bowel Biopsy

Publication History
Publication Date:

Summary
The peroral small-intestine biopsy is a relatively simple, harmless examination technique which, unfortunately, however, has, up till now, lead to an unequivocal diagnosis only in few diseases. The hopes initially put in this method have not been fully realized. The assumption may, however, be made that, through more subtile histochemical and ultrastructurell examinations the scope of the small-bowel biopsy technique will be extended.
