Zusammenfassung
Die Technik der transvenösen Einführung von Schrittmacherelektroden hat die Mortalitätsrate bei Implantation zwar gesenkt, dafür ergibt sich jedoch als häufigste Komplikation das Problem der Dislokation.
Die von uns entwickelte intravenös einzuführende Elektrode kann mit feinen Metall-Häkchen, die durch einen Mandrin zum Aufspringen gebracht werden, im Myokard fixiert werden und ist trotzdem genauso leicht intravenös wie eine Normalelektrode einzuführen.
Eine spezielle Isolation des Elektrodenkopfes garantiert dabei, daß durch Reizschwellmessung im Bereich der Elektrodenöffnung aktives Myokardgewebe vorhanden ist. Die Fixierung erlaubt eine Plazierung der Elektrode sowohl im rechten Ventrikel als auch im rechten Vorhof.

The technique of transvenous introduction of pacemaker electrodes has lowered the mortality rate in implantation but the most common complication is dislocation.
The electrode for intravenous introduction which we have developed can be fixed in the myocardium with fine metal hooks which can be made to open with the help of mandrin. It is as easy to introduce intravenously as a normal electrode.
A special isolation of the electrode head ensures that active myocardial tissue is present by measurement of the stimulation threshold in the region of the electrode opening. The fixation allows positioning of the electrode both in the right ventrical and right atrium.
