Summary

The anatomical structure of the leaves, stipules and young stems of Mitragyna rotundifolia have been described. The features are typical of the genus, one of the unusual features being the secretory protuberances at the base of the lower epidermis of the stipules. The extremely thick periclinal wall of the upper epidermis of the petiole is characteristic of the plant.

Es wird eine anatomische Beschreibung der Blätter von Mitragyna rotundifolia gegeben. Als Besonderheit sind sekretierende Protuberanzen an der unterseitigen Basis der Nebenblätter vorhanden. Weiterhin ist die äußerst dicke perikline Wand der oberen Epidermis charakteristisch.
