Zusammenfassung

Der Effekt verschiedener Behandlungsformen des malignen Pleuraergusses bei 65 Patienten wird mitgeteilt. Bei 43 Fällen bestanden metastatische Prozesse der Pleura, bei 12 Patienten Mesotheliome. Der bessere Effekt der polyzytostatischen Therapie ist nachweisbar durch längere Überlebenszeit und Wirkung auf die Ergußbildung im Vergleich zur lokalen u./o. Monotherapie. Beide Kriterien sind abhängig von der Histologie des Primärtumors.

Summary

The effect of different forms of treatment in tumorous pleural effusion – applicated in 65 patients – is discussed. 43 patients had metastatic processes of pleural space, 12 mesothelioma. The better effect of polycytostatic treatment in relation to local a./o. monotherapy could be demonstrated by a longer survival-time and inhibition of pleural effusion. Both factors are dependent on histological type of primary tumor.
