Die Behandlung des komplizierten Spontanpneumothorax mittels axillärer Thorakotomie

Zusammenfassung

Die axilläre Thorakotomie zur Behandlung des komplizierten Spontanpneumothorax wurde 72mal bei 63 Patienten ausgeführt. Bei 9 Patienten mußte doppelseitig operiert werden. Es ergaben sich wenig Komplikationen nach der Operation. Der kosmetisch gute Hautschnitt, der kurze stationäre Aufenthalt und das Ergebnis der Nachkontrolle, daß keine Rezidive auftraten, lassen diese Methode der Behandlung empfehlenswert erscheinen.

Summary

The treatment of complicated cases of spontaneous pneumothorax via the axillary approach was carried out 72 times in 63 patients. Bilateral operation was necessary in 9 cases. Postoperative complications were few. The cosmetic incision, the short stay in hospital and the fact that no recurrences occurred on follow-up, make this method of treatment commendable.
