Zusammenfassung
Im Doppelblind- und Crossover-Verfahren erhielten 90 gesunde Versuchspersonen während je 2 Wochen Eisensulfat, Ferrum sulfuricum + Acidum succinicum und Placebo. Letzteres verursachte dreimal weniger Nebenwirkungen als Eisen. Bei den Frauen stiegen die mittlere Hämoglobinkonzentration, das Serumeisen und die Transferrinsättigung signifikant unter Abfall der totalen Eisenbindungskapazität.
Summary
In a double-blind and crossover trial ferrous sulphate, ferrous sulphate + succinic acid, and placebo were given to 90 healthy subjects for two weeks each. The placebo caused one-third of the side effects obtained with the iron compounds. In women the mean haemoglobin concentration, serum iron and transferrin saturation rose significantly, while total iron-binding capacity fell.
