Atypische Uveitis als Indikator einer Neurosyphilis

Einleitung

Syphilis ist eine sexuell übertragbare, komplexe systemische Infektionskrankheit, die durch das Schraubenbakterium Treponema pallidum verursacht wird [4]. Bleibt eine Syphilisinfektion unbehandelt, kann sie zur Erkrankung fast jedes Organs im Körper führen [7] und letal verlaufen. Bei diesem „Chamäleon der Infektionskrankheiten“ finden sich auch am Auge sehr variante Symptomausprägungen, die sämtliche okuläre Abschnitte betreffen können und aufgrund ihrer Vielfältigkeit eine rasche Diagnosefindung erschweren [5].
