Zusammenfassung
Einleitung: Die Entwicklung und Ausprägung beruflicher Handlungskompetenz im Rahmen der Ausbildung in den Berufsfeldern Gesundheit und Pflege erfordern neben veränderten Lehr-Lern-Arrangements ebenso adäquate Prüfungsformen. Zu diesem Zweck wurde das bestehende Prüfungsinstrument Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) im Rahmen eines fachdidaktischen Projekts für die Ergotherapieausbildung adaptiert und in einem Pretest an einer Ergotherapieschule implementiert. Mithilfe einer sich anschließenden Evaluation wurde die Forschungsfrage beantwortet, wie das Instrument konzipiert und adaptiert sein müsste, um es in der Ergotherapieausbildung einsetzen zu können.
Methode: Die Datenerhebung erfolgte mittels Fragebögen, die quantitative und qualitative Forschungsanteile enthielten. Dabei wurden verschiedene Perspektiven einbezogen – insgesamt wurden vier Prüflinge, drei Simulationspatienten und zwei Fachdozenten befragt.
Ergebnisse: Die Beteiligten schätzten den OSCE überwiegend positiv ein. Beispielsweise wurde die Organisation des Prüfungsablaufs durch die Prüflinge und die Simulationspatienten mit sehr gut bis gut beurteilt. Die Praxisrelevanz wurde durch die Prüflinge als auch durch die Fachdozenten überwiegend mit sehr gut eingeschätzt.
Schlussfolgerung: Die Ergebnisse zeigen, dass sich der adaptierte OSCE in der Ergotherapieausbildung anwenden lässt. Der hohe logistische Aufwand stellt möglicherweise eine Barriere für die reguläre Anwendung dar; der Ansatz bedarf von daher vermutlich der weiteren Anpassung.
Abstract
Introduction: The development and specification of decision-making-competency in the framework of the education in the occupational field of health and care, demand along with teaching-learning-arrangements, adequate examination forms. For this purpose, the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) as an established instrument for examination was adapted for occupational therapy education and implemented in a pre-test at an occupational therapy school. By means of a following evaluation, the research question was answered how the instrument would need to be conceptualized and adapted to be used in the occupational therapy education.
Method: Data was collected through questionnaires which included qualitative and quantitative parts. Thereby, different perspectives were included – overall four examiners, three simulation-patients, and two subject teachers were asked.
Results: The participants appraised the OSCE as predominantly positive. For example, the organisational procedures during the examination were assessed as very good and good by the examiners and the simulation-patients. The relevance for practice was predominantly appraised as very good by the examiners and the subject teachers.
Conclusion: The results show that the adapted OSCE applies to the occupational therapy education. The highly logical complexity is a possible barrier for a regular use. For that reason it may need further adjustment.
