Vergrößerung des Glomus caroticum bei allen Formen der Hypertonie

Zusammenfassung

In früheren, 1948 publizierten Untersuchungen war bei allen Formen von Hypertonie, die lange Zeit bestanden haben, eine Vergrößerung des Glomus caroticum gefunden worden. Die größten Glomera wurden beobachtet bei Fällen von essentieller Hypertonie, Nephrosklerose, Apoplexien, Nephritis und Nebennierentumoren. Mit einer besonderen Technik wurde jetzt nach Schnittbildern das Gewicht der Glomera von 208 Fällen errechnet und statistisch ausgewertet. Die Ergebnisse der früheren Untersuchungen werden dadurch bestätigt.

Summary

A special technique was used to measure the weight of 208 glomera from histological sections and correlate it statistically with different forms of systemic hypertension. The results confirm an earlier observation by the author (Dtsch. med. Wschr. 73 [1948], 204) of significant enlargement of the Glomus caroticum in cases of essential hypertension, nephrosclerosis, cerebro-vascular accident, nephritis and adrenal tumours.

En investigaciones anteriores, publicadas en 1948, se había encontrado un engrandecimiento del «glomus caroticum» en todas las formas de hipertonía que han existido largo tiempo. Los «glomera» más grandes fueron observados en casos de hipertonía esencial, nefrosclerosis, apoplejías, nefritis v tumores de las cápsulas suprarrenales. Con una técnica especial se calculó ahora, con arreglo a fotografías microscópicas de cortes, el peso de los «glomera» de 208 casos, aprovechándolo para la estadística. Los resultados de las investigaciones anteriores quedan confirmados.
