Störung der Acetoin-Bestimmung nach Westerfeld durch Coenzym A und andere SH-Verbindungen

Zusammenfassung

Bei Bestimmungen von Acetoin nach Westerfeld muß auf das gleichzeitige Vorhandensein von SH-Verbindungen geachtet werden. Diese verhindern die Ausbildung des zur kolorimetrischen Bestimmung dienenden Farbkomplexes aus Acetoin, α-Naphthol und Kreatin. Die Ursache dafür ist wahrscheinlich die Bildung eines Mercaptols aus Acetoin und der SH-Verbindung. Werden SH-Verbindungen zum Beispiel therapeutisch verabreicht, so kann eine Beeinflussung des im Blut festgestellten Acetoinspiegels zustande kommen.

The reason for the interference is probably the formation of mercaptols from acetoin and the SH group. If compounds containing such SH groups are administered for therapeutic purposes, this may affect the measurement of acetoin levels in blood.

Con motivo de determinaciones de acetoína según Westerfeld hay que atender a la presencia simultánea de combinaciones de SH. Estas impiden el desarrollo del complejo de colores de acetoína, α-naftol y creatina, que sirve para la determinación colorimétrica. La causa es probablemente la formación de un mercaptol a base de acetoína y de la combinación de SH. Si se administran p.ej. terapéuticamente combinaciones de SH, puede tener lugar una influencia en el nivel de acetoína comprobado en la sangre.
