After publication of the above mentioned article in Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, Volume 26, Number 5, 2008, pages 372–382, the authors noticed an error in the abstract. The fourth sentence of the abstract reads “An early pregnancy failure can be diagnosed by the absence of a visible yolk sac with a mean sac diameter of 13 mm; the absence of a visible embryo with a mean sac diameter of 13 mm; the absence of cardiac motion with an embryo measuring 5 mm or more in maximal length; or the presence of an empty amnion.”
The sentence should read “An early pregnancy failure can be diagnosed by the absence of a visible yolk sac with a mean sac diameter of 13 mm; the absence of a visible embryo with a mean sac diameter of 20 mm; the absence of cardiac motion with an embryo measuring 5 mm or more in maximal length; or the presence of an empty amnion.”
