Summary
When Hahnemann published the first edition of his Organon at the age of 55, he had already been applying his new medical practice based on the law of similars for fourteen years. This study of his pre-Organon publications shows that he had in that period already acquired many important theorems of the Organon: but it also demonstrates that a series of insights were still missing.
Key words
Hahnemann - Organon - Pre-Organon - Law of similars - Birth of homeopathy - Similia Similibus - Dose - Cullen - Chinchona tree - Cortex peruvianus
