Der Carotissiphon und seine anatomische Grundlage

Zusammenfassung

Anatomische Beschreibung des Kopfabschnittes der Carotis interna unter Hinweis auf seine Variabilität. Nachweis, daß der im Röntgenbild bezeichnete Carotissiphon nicht mit dem in der Literatur übereinstimmt und auch keinesfalls formmäßig einem Siphon entspricht. Das Gebilde, welches im Röntgenbild als Siphon bezeichnet wird, entspricht am ehesten einem liegenden Buchstaben „U“ und besteht aus drei Abschnitten. Der 1. Abschnitt liegt im Sinus cavernosus, der 2. als Scheitel (Knie) geht durch die Dura mater hindurch und der 3. liegt über dem Sinus im Subarachnoidalraum. Es wäre also sinngemäß als Carotis „U“ zu bezeichnen.

Summary

The anatomy of the cranial portion of the internal carotid artery is described with reference to its variations. It is shown that the syphon of the carotid artery as it appears in the x-ray picture is not identical with that described in the literature and that its shape corresponds by no means with that of a syphon. The structure which is designated as a syphon in the x-ray picture resembles most closely a horizontal „U“ and consists of 3 parts. The first part is situated in the sinus cavernosus, the second part, forming the vertex (genu), passes through the dura mater, and the third part is situated above the sinus in the subarachnoid space. It should correspondingly be called the carotid “U”.

Description anatomique de la partie terminale de la carotide interne, en tenant compte de sa variabilité. L'auteur démontre que l'image radiographique du siphon carotidien ne correspond ni à la description de la littérature, ni à un siphon proprement dit par sa forme. La formation que l'on appelle siphon sur la radiographie correspond plutôt à la lettre «U» couchée et se compose de trois parties; la première est logée dans le sinus caverneux, la seconde (genou ou base du U) traverse la dure-mère, et la troisième se trouve au-dessus du sinus dans l'espace sous arachnoidien. Il serait donc indiqué de nommer cette formation l'U carotidien.

Se menciona la anatomía del sector cefálico de la carótida interna, señalándose sus variaciones. Se comprueba que el sifón carotídeo que se describe radiológicamente no coincide con el registrado en la bibliografía y que tampoco corresponde respecto a su forma, a un sifón. La formación que en el cuadro radiológico se denomina sifón corresponde más bien a una letra ‘U’ horizontal, estando integrado por tres segmentos. El primer segmento está localizado en el seno cavernoso, el segundo (rodilla) atraviesa la duramadre y el tercer segmento se sitúa por encima del seno, en el espacio subaracnoideo. Tendría mucho más sentido denominar esta formación carótida en ‘U’
