Introduction

Clinical research in the area of endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) remains highly developed, as in previous years. It is noteworthy that the ideas of evidence-based medicine have also prevailed in research concerning endoscopic techniques, therefore results from randomized controlled trials (RCTs) of good quality are becoming available and provide some important data.

This review presents 20 significant abstracts regarding ERCP and 16 additional references are also cited.
