Summary
Case of a 74-year-old lady with severe auto-immune interstitial cystitis with deep ulceration, thickening and shrinkage of bladder presenting with painful retention of urination treated successfully with Pareira brava. She presents a clear symptom picture and clear aetiologies which I interpret as suggesting treatment with several medicines (Ignatia amara, Staphysagria, Proteus [Bach] and Carcinosinum [Burnett]) which produce amelioration on the emotional level, grief, energy, migraine, angina pectoris and some response in her bladder, yet only Pareira brava truly ameliorates her disease.
Key words
Auto-immune cystitis - Grief - Angina pectoris - Migraine - Pareira brava - Ignatia amara - Proteus (Bach) - Carcinosinum (Burnett)
