Einsatz von Stammzellen in der Therapie von Lahmheiten beim Pferd

Summary

Stem cells have been used for the treatment of equine tendon injuries with excellent success for several years. Also for the treatment of joint disease stem cells are regarded as a promising tool. This article focuses on the implementation of stem cell therapy into clinical practice. Besides the scientific background, indications and prospects of success are discussed and practical know-how concerning sample collection and stem cell application is provided.
