Classics of Unani medicine suggest certain botanicals that can affect the normal behavior of an animal. Therefore, the activities and behavior of a vector that are responsible for various diseases can be modulated as per the need to protect society from various diseases. The development of vector targeted behavior modulators e.g. repellents, can be achieved by exploiting this traditional knowledge. This paper envisages the potential of Unani medicine through reviewing the classics and presents these natural products that can modulate the behavior of these vectors as per the requirements to protect human being from various ailments.
