Die Behandlung des CRPS I aus ergotherapeutischer Sicht

Zusammenfassung

Das therapeutische Vorgehen beim komplexen regionalen Schmerzsyndrom Typ I (CRPS I) ist abhängig vom Schweregrad des Krankheitsbildes und sollte in einem interdisziplinären Rahmen erfolgen. Dabei spielt die Ergotherapie neben der medizinischen und psychologischen Betreuung eine zentrale Rolle. Nach der Anamnese- und ergotherapeutischen Befunderhebung unter besonderer Berücksichtigung des Schmerzes, der Schwellung und der allgemeinen Handfunktion gilt es gemeinsam mit dem Patienten das Therapieziel zu erarbeiten, wobei das Therapieprogramm individuell auf den einzelnen Patienten abzustimmen ist. Der folgende Artikel gibt einen Überblick über die ergotherapeutischen Behandlungsmöglichkeiten beim CRPS I.

Abstract

The therapeutic management of the complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS I) depends on its severity, and should take place in an interdisciplinary setting. In addition to medical and psychological intervention, occupational therapy plays a major role in the care of patients. Following a case review and patient interview, an assessment of hand function is obtained using a quantitative determination of pain levels, oedema, and overall hand function, mobility and strength, and, subsequently, therapeutic goals are set. Based upon the severity of the clinical presentation, a patient-tailored course of occupational therapy is designed and implemented. The present article provides an overview of the possibilities for CRPS management by the occupational therapist.
