Strukturierung des implantologischen Aufklärungsgesprächs

In der Akademie für Zahnärztliche Fortbildung Karlsruhe wird routinemäßig ein speziell strukturiertes Aufklärungsgespräch mit jedem Patienten geführt, der den Wunsch nach Implantation vorbringt und bei dem die Indikation zur Implantation vom prothetischen Behandler unterstützt wird.

Die vorliegende Studie untersuchte die hierbei auftretenden Fragestellungen vonseiten der Patienten. 40 Gespräche wurden dokumentiert und ausgewertet. Das Ergebnis der Aufklärung wurde anhand des weiteren Fallverlaufs analysiert, der entweder zur Implantation, zur Anwendung konventioneller prothetischer Methoden oder zum Abbruch der Behandlung führte. Patienten, die sich für die Implantation entschieden, zeigten ein anderes Fragemuster als Patienten, die letztlich gegen die Implantation waren. Die Ergebnisse der Studie führten zu einer Nachadjustierung des eingesetzten Aufklärungskonzepts.

At the Institute for Continuing Professional Development Karlsruhe every patient who expresses the wish for dental implants, the prosthodontic indication assumed, routinely undergoes an elaborate explanatory meeting with a well structured pre-operative discussion.

The present study investigates patients' questioning through analyzed discussions in 40 documented meetings. Further therapy defined the outcome of these pre-operative discussions that led to: treatment with dental implants, the choice of conventional prosthodontic means or cessation of treatment.

Patients who decided in favor for implantation showed a different pattern of questions compared to the other groups. The results of this study led to the redefinition of the applied concept of patient education.
