A comprehensive explanation of the specific risks and changes of the planned osteosynthetic procedure is helpful to assure the patient's understanding and cooperation. A major factor contributing to the success of the operation is the choice and correct application of the positioning technique. Especially for closed repositioning this can be decisive for success.
