Perioperative Schmerztherapie beim Hund

Der Schlüssel zum Erfolg einer adäquaten perioperativen Schmerztherapie liegt in der präemptiven und multimodalen Verabreichung von Schmerzmitteln. In der postoperativen Phase ist die regelmäßige Schmerzevaluation von größter Bedeutung. Zu den Neuheiten auf dem Schmerzmittelmarkt zählen einerseits die neuste Generation der nicht steroidalen Entzündungshemmer, die sog. Coxibe, aber auch altbekannte Medikamente in neuen Verabreichungsformen, wie z. B. Fentanyl- oder Lidocainpflaster.
