Zusammenfassung

Wir berichten über zwei Patientinnen mit Verleugnung der Schwangerschaft. Während die erste Patientin, abgesehen von der Schwangerschaftsverleugnung bis zum Blasensprung, psychopathologisch weitgehend unauffällig war und die Versorgung des Kindes nach der Geburt selbstständig übernehmen konnte, war die zweite Patientin mit psychotisch motivierter Verleugnung der Schwangerschaft aufgrund der Schizophrenie nicht in der Lage ihr Kind zu versorgen, sodass eine Adoption notwendig wurde. Anhand der beiden Fälle werden ätiologische, epidemiologische, klinische und prognostische Implikationen der psychotischen und nicht psychotischen Schwangerschaftsverleugnung diskutiert.

Abstract

We report about two patients with denial of pregnancy. While the first patient was free of psychopathological symptoms besides denial of pregnancy until rupture of the membranes, and was able to accomodate the new born, the second patient with psychotic denial of pregnancy could not accomodate the child because of the schizophrenia, so that an adoption was necessary. On the basis of the two cases aetiological, epidemiological, clinical und prognostic implications of psychotic and non-psychotic denial of pregnancy are discussed.
