Zusammenfassung

Die idiopatische autoimmunhämolytische Anämie (AIHA) vom Wärmetyp ist in der Regel eine benigne Erkrankung, die nur selten zu einer nicht-beherrschbaren anämischen Hypoxie führt. Wir berichten über einen Patienten mit schwerer AIHA und verkannter massiver Blutung. Klinisch bestand primär der Verdacht auf eine hämolytische Transfusionsreaktion und der Patient verstarb an einer nicht kompensierten Anämie.

Abstract

Idiopathic warm type autoimmunhemolytic anemia (AIHA) is a benign disease that rarely leads to uncontrolled anemic hypoxemia. We describe a patient with severe AIHA with massive and unrecognised blood loss. From a clinical viewpoint, a haemolytic transfusion reaction was suspected and the patient died due to decompensated anemia.
