In this issue of Seminars in Reproductive Medicine, we address the complicated but important topic of recurrent early pregnancy loss for the first time since 2006. We were fortunate to recruit an internationally known guest editor for this issue, Dr. Mary Stephenson.
Dr. Stephenson is currently a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine. She graduated from the Medical School of the University of British Columbia and completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology there. She has completed several fellowships including a research fellowship in reproductive immunology at the Methodist Center for Reproductive & Transplantation Immunology, in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of British Columbia, and in molecular genetics at the University of Chicago. She earned a masters of Science degree in experimental medicine (reproductive immunology and genetics) at the University of British Columbia.
Dr. Stephenson has a national and international reputation in the field of the causes and treatment of recurrent early pregnancy loss. She has an extensive list of publications, numerous awards, and competitive research grants to her credit.
Finally, Dr. Stephenson has recruited a great panel of national and international experts to author articles on this important topic.
